IndeXMLThis application is designed to reduce the time associated with the traditional
manual population of data and document repositories. IndeXML assists
users with indexing tasks, by simplifying data entry and expediting quality
control during document scanning operations. It can also be used for batch
indexing previously scanned documents, prior to uploading into the Docbase.
This module can be configured in accordance with the type of documents
to be scanned, and encapusulated data can be easily uploaded into a Docbase.

This information transfer tool uses XML (eXtensible Markup Language)
as a data exchange format. XML is a WEB enabled standard, adopted by most
software editors, who have announced support for this protocol in the
next release of their tools. XML Interface is used for automatic Docbase
population, where the organization and structure of document attributes
and contents are formalized in XSL (eXtensible Sheet Language) Style sheets. This
flexible application can also be used to configure and maintain a Docbase
for Users, Groups, ACLs, Cabinets, Folders, Routers, Workflows, etc.

This document base browser provides a means of navigation through the Docbase
using a graphical interface. Navigation is enhanced through the use of hyper-links
that give access to other documents, lists of documents, databases and
external applications. Navigation in the Docbase is oriented by job discipline,
such that access to the information is based on the "point of view" (process, electrical, mechanical, etc.) of the user.

The operations module is designed to assist in the organization and management
of data and documents using an Operations and Maintenance Logic. It is
designed to deal with the day to day tasks associated with the operations
and maintenance of an industrial production facility. StepWay Operator
makes use of the visual search capability of Hyperviewer to quickly
locate data and documents pertinent to these tasks. The maintenance of
a facility is greatly enhanced through faster, easier and more reliable
access to the required information.

This application provides an interface to the Docbase with an Engineering
perspective. With this tool, the user can handle documents listed in registers;
locate, sort and/or extract groups of documents; track versions; handle transmittals;
store comments related to documents; and monitor the progress of database
population. StepWay Engineer is designed to manage documents, whether
as electronic files or paper hardcopy. It also assists the user in the preparation
of project data books (End of Project File, Maintenance Engineering, etc.).

This specialized search table makes use of industry related criteria
(System, Area, Discipline, Tag Number, PO Number, etc.) to quickly and
easily locate documents in the document repository. StepWay Finder
can work directly with the Docbase or with a subset of the document base,
delivered on a CD-ROM or via the WEB. This application provides a common
and industry-oriented interface to all participants in a project, whether
or not they have access to the Docbase.
